"Nature"

Nature is often hidden, but it is up to us to unhide the beauty of nature. While I was doing this project, I was fascinating by the beauty of nature and its colors. Never did it cross my mind that nature could be so easily to work with. I had a wonderful experience making nature into a work of art. In my first picture, I was on my way down to Magnolia where I saw a lot of colors and shape leaves. Once I got to my aunt's house, I went walking through the woods and I got amazed by a deformed puddle. Since the puddle looked so dull, I gathered a bunch of different colored leaves and put it around the puddle giving it color and form. This picture reminded me of Andy Goldsworth art when he gave form and color to the circle with the yellow flowers. I was shocked that the picture came out looking like this because I never thought nature could be so simple and fascinating. It only took me 15 minutes to do this and my puddle came out looking like a heart. This made me appreciate nature more because it made me see the simple beauty of it.

As I was playing soccer, I got fascinated by the different shadows my friend and I performed. The soccer ball and our shadow gave me several ideas to play with in this picture. My friend and I were trying to portray the beauty of the sport. Each of the picture shows different motions. In the picture on the left you can see that my friend is holding on to the ball while the ball is on the ground, and on the second picture which is on the right you can see him throwing the ball upwards. I love the color of the green grass because it made the ball stand out and the shadow gave a positive and negative space.

On my third picture, I started looking at the nature around me. I saw different kinds of sticks and small leaves. I started playing around with the elements I had. As i started forming different shapes, weird looking faces started coming out. I actually enjoyed doing this picture because the faces reminded me of me. The faces to me look goofy and crazy and it defines who I am. I love this picture because it brought out the color of nature which is green. By making an outline around the two faces I gave it a shape. I do not know why but to me this picture looks like a frame with two faces.
