For your blog assignment watch episode 3 of "This is modern art" on you tube and post a response as well as 5 questions you have about the arists in the movie.
Many of the artists spoken on in this episode were all very interesting to me much different from the others. I believe its because to many people it made no sense how lines could be defined as art. But to me it was. The colors and the time spent and different strokes are very cool to observe. Patrick Heron had a different eye and believed his art looked all kinds of tense and experienced relationships. His art is what i like most. The paint he uses and the thickness of it on the paper makes it really eye catching. Many times i feel like the colors show a different emotion. Yellow meaning happy or excited and blue and green sometimes meaning sadness or gloom.
ReplyDelete1) what was it that actually gave people an eye for Henrons' type of art?
2) What is it that makes drawings of Stars more beautiful than paintings of lines, or things that doesnt make sense?
3) It seems that the artist who do paint people only seem to paint their own race. Why is that if they are supposed to be open minded or broad thinkers?
4) Do u think religious paintings effect people more than abstract/ realistic paintings?
5) Who gave the name "modern art"?
