What I concluded from the video is that to everyone beauty takes on different meanings, ideas, and even feelings. The artist discussed in the video wanted people to be able to find their own beauty, their own idea of what beauty is or could be. This, I would agree takes on a different approach to the idea of "beauty being in the eye of the beholder". I even noticed that Chris Ofili was mentioned in the video, because he is a good example of a modern artist finding beauty, in what some would believe/say, is inappropriate of or even offensive. I conclude that it all bowls down to what beauty means to the individual.
1. What side of the modern art world is the "Blue Nude" apart of?
2. What artist is responsible for the painting "Blue Nude", that is said to stand for beauty itself?
3. What did said artist want his art to be like?
4. What did Patrick Heron say you shouldn't dwell on when creating/producing this particular brand of artwork?
5. What did Chris Ofili use to create most of his artwork?
